Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and services with AI-powered functionality.
- Develop features that meet customer, project, and non-functional requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to technical design, specification, refinement, discussions, and code reviews.
- Participate in testing, release, and deployment activities.
- Investigate technical issues and support application maintenance and improvement.
- Take ownership of complex development work and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Keep current with developments in AI, Python, and software engineering.
Requirements
- Strong commercial software development experience.
- Significant commercial experience using Python.
- Practical experience developing or delivering AI-powered solutions.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practices.
- Experience with version control, testing, and modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts.
- Experience with C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, containerisation, Kubernetes, or real-time voice applications is advantageous.
