Responsibilities
- Support client needs in Oracle application development and support using advanced PL/SQL.
- Design and develop Oracle database objects and work with complex datasets.
- Create PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, collections, and exception handling logic.
- Perform SQL tuning and optimization using explain plans and SQL trace files.
- Apply partitioning, hints, and indexing strategies for optimal performance.
- Perform direct and conventional data loads using SQL*Loader.
- Understand Oracle Database architecture and contribute to client delivery workstreams.
- Interact with senior leaders to understand business goals and support consulting engagements.
Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years of development experience.
- Advanced PL/SQL knowledge and performance-tuning experience.
- Experience with SQL queries, including scalar subqueries, inline views, outer joins, hints, and analytic functions.
- Experience designing and developing Oracle objects and creating PL/SQL database components.
- Experience with SQL tuning, optimization, partitioning, hints, indexing, and SQL trace files.
- Experience with direct and conventional loads using SQL*Loader.
- Working knowledge of a source code control system.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and learning skills.
- Prior consulting experience is preferred.
