Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain iOS application components that connect WHOOP hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and other communication protocols.
- Develop background and system-level iOS services for device connectivity, synchronization, and data transfer.
- Use Swift and Combine to build resilient reactive pipelines for connectivity and data management.
- Collaborate with embedded firmware, mobile, and cloud engineers to diagnose and resolve distributed-system issues.
- Improve connectivity-layer performance, power efficiency, and reliability.
- Drive scalable, modular, testable, and maintainable software architecture.
- Document features and architecture using Jira and Confluence, and use GitHub feature, develop, and master branches.
- Participate in app release activities including builds, build variants, signing, Firebase testing, and App Store submission.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional iOS software engineering experience.
- Strong foundation in Swift, iOS system APIs, concurrency, and memory management.
- Hands-on experience with Swift 6 Concurrency and background task processing for non-UI iOS features.
- Demonstrated experience applying architectural and platform-based design principles to build scalable, modular, and testable software.
- Experience debugging complex or distributed systems involving firmware, mobile, or backend systems is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills focused on cross-functional problem solving.
- Commitment to using AI tools in day-to-day work while maintaining high-quality standards.
