Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between legal SaaS systems and enterprise services such as MDM, identity, data lake, workflow, and reporting systems.
- Implement API-based, event-driven, and batch/file-based integration patterns, including API clients and endpoints, event handlers, ETL/ELT jobs, and scheduled synchronization.
- Create data mappings, transformations, schema management, reconciliation processes, and reference-data normalization.
- Build and operate pipelines that ingest contract documents, metadata, and extracted fields into the legal data lake with lineage, quality checks, and secure consumption patterns.
- Integrate legal systems with MDM and reference data services using validation, enrichment, match/merge, and golden-record alignment practices.
- Define integration standards covering canonical data models, naming, versioning, backward compatibility, error handling, idempotency, secrets management, and key rotation.
- Ensure authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, data classification, retention, privacy, and least-privilege controls are implemented.
- Own day-two integration operations, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, observability, SLAs/SLOs, and release readiness.
- Collaborate with Legal Operations, application owners, enterprise integration, data engineering, security, vendors, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise integrations across SaaS and on-premises/cloud systems.
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, messaging and events, batch processing, transformations, schema management, data modeling, master/reference data, lineage, and reconciliation.
- Experience with API design and consumption, API gateways, authentication patterns, event or message systems, asynchronous processing, and idempotency.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipeline engineering, file-based exchange, schema evolution, reconciliation, integration platforms or middleware, workflow automation, and job scheduling.
- Strong production operations experience with monitoring, alerting, incident management, root cause analysis, and integration support.
- Experience implementing secrets management, key rotation, token handling, encryption, least-privilege access, and audit logging.
- Ability to create interface specifications, sequence and data-flow diagrams, runbooks, and other clear technical documentation.
- Preferred experience integrating contract lifecycle management platforms and document repositories, working with legal contract data, MDM and reference-data governance, regulated industries, or eDiscovery and records retention.
