Responsibilities
- Lead business engagement with Risk Engineers and subject-matter experts, including requirements workshops and user-story capture.
- Design enterprise AI systems covering ingestion, vector indexing, retrieval, LLM orchestration, APIs, frontend, storage, and monitoring.
- Define AI/RAG approaches, prompt-engineering playbooks, and technology selections.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, privacy, governance, PII-handling, and responsible-AI standards.
- Design application UX flows and wireframes in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Lead code and architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and oversee delivery.
Requirements
- Expert-level Python proficiency and production-grade coding skills.
- Proficiency in at least one additional language such as TypeScript, Java, Go, or Scala.
- 12+ years of technology experience with significant hands-on solution architecture, AI/ML engineering, and system delivery experience.
- At least 5 years designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in production enterprise environments.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, NLP, document intelligence, cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead workshops.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, insurance or financial-services experience, speech-to-text/OCR/image-captioning experience, AI/ML research or open-source contributions, thought leadership, advanced MLOps and AI governance expertise, and relevant professional certifications such as AWS ML Specialty, Azure Data Scientist, GCP Professional ML Engineer, or TOGAF.
