Responsibilities
- Follow a structured learning path in AI-assisted development using Visual Studio, GitHub Copilot and Claude while pairing with senior developers.
- Complete supervised development tasks and progress toward independent AI development work.
- Own AI-assisted validation checks as manual verification becomes automated.
- Groom and prioritise the Public View backlog and coordinate with the product and development teams.
- Write release notes, communicate product updates and data loads to customers, and track trials toward conversion.
- Capture customer feedback and contribute it to the product roadmap.
- Verify and validate NHS Oversight Framework and ICB metrics against current national specifications each publication cycle.
- Maintain verification checklists, log and triage exceptions, collaborate on fixes and confirm fixes before release.
- Keep current with changes to NHS Oversight Framework and ICB specifications.
- Contribute to internal demonstrations, documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a technical, data or analytical discipline, or demonstrable self-taught ability.
- Some exposure to programming or scripting such as Python, C#, JavaScript or SQL, with enthusiasm for learning AI-assisted software development.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking data against written specifications.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, including comfort working with spreadsheets and data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer updates, release notes and technical explanations.
- Ability to manage a split workload, maintain a backlog and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach, willingness to ask questions and accept feedback, and ability to work in a small team.
- Familiarity with NHS performance data or the NHS Oversight Framework is advantageous.
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, Visual Studio or Git is advantageous.
- Understanding of agile product management practices, Microsoft Azure familiarity, and customer-facing or support experience are advantageous.
