Base Salary
$158k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop motion-planning software and algorithms for dynamic, uncertain, and interactive traffic scenarios.
- Build decision-making capabilities for autonomous trucks and robotaxis.
- Collaborate with engineers and research scientists on a reliable autonomy stack.
- Participate in technical and architecture discussions.
- Rapidly prototype and test new algorithms.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of industry experience.
- Experience with planning and decision-making approaches such as optimal control, optimization-based approaches, search methods, or probabilistic decision making.
- Production-quality coding skills in Python or C++.
- Strong problem-solving skills using linear algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability.
- Ability to prototype and test new algorithms rapidly.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to balance long-term goals with short-term problems.
- Passion for self-driving technologies and complex technical problem solving.
- Experience in the self-driving field and optimization experience are preferred.
