Responsibilities
- Use AI across planning, design, implementation, testing, refactoring, and maintenance while maintaining high standards for software architecture, quality, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and work hands-on with production AI agents, including tool calling, context management, and evaluations.
- Solve challenging technical problems on Base44’s AI-powered platform and ship code to millions of users.
- Contribute to engineering culture through internal knowledge sharing and, if interested, open-source participation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in tech-first product companies or high-growth startups.
- Daily use of AI coding tools as the primary workspace across the full software lifecycle.
- Production experience with agents, including tool calling, context management, and evaluations.
- Ability to manage cost and latency tradeoffs while building reliable, scalable, secure, and high-quality software.
