Base Salary

$105k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-team evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability at scale.
  • Define versioning, deprecation, API lifecycle, and rollout strategies that minimize downstream disruption.
  • Drive observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, performance optimization, and scalability across services.
  • Design, implement, test, debug, document, and optimize complex software and APIs.
  • Provide architectural guidance, conduct code and peer reviews, and coach less experienced engineers.
  • Investigate complex customer-reported issues and maintenance defects, recommending short- and long-term solutions.
  • Maintain and patch systems, automate operational processes, and improve service availability, health, support, and reliability.
  • Coordinate moderately complex projects and initiatives, collaborate across teams, and participate in candidate interviews and hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building distributed systems.
  • Interest in applied cryptography and cloud security.
  • Experience designing scalable software, APIs, software architecture, testing, observability, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, coach engineers, lead reviews, and coordinate work across multiple teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software, integration, customer, and operational issues.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, software development standards, reliability practices, and vulnerability remediation.

  • US hiring range is $104,500 to $234,600 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
