Base Salary
$157k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and refine software development processes aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance for code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Lead process-improvement initiatives and drive adoption of software best practices across projects.
- Define software metrics, dashboards, measurement frameworks, and flow-based measures.
- Develop and maintain software project cost-estimation standards, models, sizing practices, risk analysis, and review processes.
- Coordinate automated reporting and analyze metric trends to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Present data-driven insights to executive leadership and establish feedback loops between measurement and improvement.
- Collaborate with chief engineers, business leaders, engineering execution, RLPM, forward deployed engineers, and other functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics and at least 12 years of prior experience.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including proposal, requirements, design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Experience with Agile approaches and DevOps.
- Experience with software project management or program management, such as serving as a Chief Engineer.
- Experience with software project cost and schedule in government-contracting environments.
- Active and current Secret security clearance required on day one.
- U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include expertise in software metrics, process standards, value-stream mapping, statistical analysis, data visualization, software estimation and cost models, software quality and auditing, automated testing frameworks, RTX business-process systems, mentoring engineers, and software development using GenAI tools.
