Responsibilities
- Build, patch, and test userspace packages in Rocky Linux.
- Improve tooling and automation in the package-building process.
- Remediate CVEs in RPM packages for customer delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales teams to develop solutions.
- Document projects to facilitate user integration.
- Drive proofs of concept and minimum viable products.
- Develop automated tests to ensure quality.
- Support multiple services through system design consulting and capacity planning.
- Deploy on standard server architectures, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Understanding of Linux OS packaging, like RPM or DEB.
- Familiarity with CVEs and their remediation.
- Deep understanding of Linux OS and package interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
- Proven experience with Linux administration and internals.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Proficient in Bash, YAML, XML, JSON, REST APIs, and HTTP methods.
- Familiarity with Python, GoLang, and other engineering tools.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Adaptability to new challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
