Base Salary
$190k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain local and cloud development environment tooling.
- Improve the speed and reliability of CI and deployment pipelines.
- Develop reusable workflows for creating services and libraries.
- Improve SDK and library publishing tools and release processes.
- Build metrics, dashboards, and flaky test detection systems.
- Provide engineers and AI coding agents with useful context and access within Sentry systems.
- Partner with engineering teams to prioritize improvements, support adoption, and evaluate results.
- Own technical projects from design through rollout and ongoing operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience building developer tools and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving developer tooling or infrastructure used by engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience improving CI/CD systems and diagnosing performance or reliability issues.
- Experience leading complex technical projects through design, implementation, and rollout.
- Production experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools.
- Experience building agreement across engineering teams on tools, standards, or workflow changes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical tradeoffs and documenting systems.
