Responsibilities
- Build and optimize machine learning models.
- Research, analyze, and document findings.
- Deliver production-grade machine learning services powering ConnectWise products and platform.
- Design and maintain machine learning infrastructure.
- Establish high-quality data pipelines with cross-functional teams.
- Support product decisions and product launches.
- Build and maintain training-data, synthetic-data, distillation, and model-evaluation pipelines.
- Deploy, monitor, and iterate machine learning models in production.
- Translate business requirements into machine learning deliverables and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required; master’s degree or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience writing production code, such as Python, and taking machine learning models to production.
- Experience building software on cloud computing platforms.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and iterating machine learning models in production.
- Knowledge of machine learning and generative AI, including supervised fine-tuning, DPO, RFT, LoRA/QLoRA, BERT/ModernBERT fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, embedding retrievers, and cross-encoder rerankers.
- Experience with model evaluation methods including task-specific evaluation sets, LLM-as-judge, offline metrics, and online A/B testing.
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with common machine learning libraries.
- Proficiency in SQL or other data manipulation languages.
- Knowledge of big data processing tools such as Apache Spark.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of at least one cloud platform and relevant services.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to new technologies and processes, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
