Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, services, microservices, and shared platform capabilities.
- Build AI-enabled applications, LLM solutions, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, intelligent agents, and agentic workflows.
- Lead technical architecture and end-to-end delivery from rapid prototype and proof of concept through production implementation.
- Develop agent tools and Model Context Protocol interfaces with state management, retries, checkpointing, human review, approvals, and recovery controls.
- Build full-stack applications, data pipelines, enterprise integrations, and workflows using front-end, back-end, cloud, and data technologies.
- Establish evaluation, testing, monitoring, security, governance, observability, release management, and reliability standards.
- Implement authentication, authorization, auditing, least-privilege access, human oversight, and protections against prompt injection and data exfiltration.
- Lead architecture reviews, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, resiliency improvements, and technical design discussions.
- Partner with attorneys, product owners, AI Platform and Data Engineering teams, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers and influence engineering standards, technology roadmaps, and software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience designing, developing, and leading delivery of enterprise software applications.
- Experience developing applications in Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience with agent frameworks, orchestration tooling, Model Context Protocol, and evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic systems.
- Hands-on experience with a second major cloud platform, such as AWS and its SageMaker, Glue, Athena, Lambda, ECS, and S3 services.
- Extensive experience designing and developing web applications, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and scalable enterprise architectures.
- Production experience building LLM applications involving retrieval, tool or function calling, and orchestration of multi-step workflows.
- Experience with data engineering, machine learning, MLOps, natural language processing, or document-understanding technologies.
- Experience delivering technology in regulated or audited environments, including model validation or compliance-driven oversight.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, distributed systems, application performance, and reliability.
- Experience with source control, Git workflows, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, influence technical direction, establish engineering standards, and communicate with technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure, software development, or cloud certifications are preferred.
