ML Engineer

- Prepare, clean, transform, encode, scale, and validate structured datasets for machine learning tasks.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and identify data quality issues and modeling opportunities.
- Build, test, compare, and evaluate supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
- Develop and select features, tune model parameters, perform error analysis, and apply appropriate validation and metrics.
- Maintain reproducible ML pipelines, notebooks, experiment tracking, technical documentation, and automated tests.
- Support model delivery through REST APIs or batch-processing workflows.
- Document model assumptions, results, limitations, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, incorporate feedback, and gradually take ownership of more complex tasks.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on Python development experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and Jupyter.
- Strong foundations in statistics, probability, and linear algebra, with exploratory data analysis skills.
- Practical understanding of regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, anomaly detection, feature engineering, and feature selection.
- Understanding of train/validation/test splits, cross-validation, data leakage, overfitting, regularization, model comparison, evaluation metrics, and error analysis.
- Familiarity with hyperparameter tuning, reproducible ML pipelines, SQL, Git, automated testing, Docker, and basic model monitoring.
- Ability to expose models through REST APIs or batch-processing workflows and explain model behavior, assumptions, limitations, and results.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred experience includes XGBoost, time-series analysis, recommendation systems, MLflow, model interpretability, cloud services, production ML monitoring, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, or agent development.
