Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering and development support for core Battlespace Awareness team tools.
- Build and improve machine-learning infrastructure for system parameter optimization and performance-regression detection in CI.
- Develop high-performance, low-latency or real-time software for tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning.
- Develop software tests, including Robot Framework tests and integration tests.
- Build integrations such as Slackbot integrations when applicable.
Requirements
- Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
- Experience with software testing, Robot Framework testing, and integration-test development.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Claude or Codex.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: TypeScript or JavaScript, React, NodeJS, Python FastAPI, CesiumJS, faster-than-real-time simulation, machine learning, hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, explainable ML, Bayesian ML, or Slackbot integration experience.
- Preferred machine-learning background through a Master’s, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience.
- Applicants must provide transcripts or detailed information about relevant academic performance, coursework, and projects.
