Quality Assurance Engineering Specialist
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Build robust automated testing frameworks for web applications.
- Test user interfaces and verify functional, integration, end-to-end, API, and performance requirements.
- Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright, JavaScript, and Python.
- Execute and monitor automated test suites through Jenkins.
- Collaborate with Quality Leaders to create test plans and define quality metrics.
- Design strategies for managing complex test data across multiple environments.
- Break down quality tasks, estimate effort, and deliver testing and use cases independently.
- Apply software development lifecycle, Agile, security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and testing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with test automation using Playwright, JavaScript, and Python.
- Exposure to performance testing with JMeter.
- Experience with API automation using Postman, Playwright, or RestAssured alongside SOAP and REST.
- Strong manual testing capabilities for functional, end-to-end, and integration testing.
- Experience executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins.
- Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Rally, or ADO.
- Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control and code reviews.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure and associated testing and deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of infrastructure for large distributed web applications is preferred.
- Power Systems domain software experience is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
