Responsibilities
- Develop Python solutions and integrate Python with AWS components.
- Build, deliver, and optimize high-performance data pipelines across ingestion, mastering, management, consumption, and distribution.
- Create and maintain QA automation scripts integrated with continuous integration tools for daily automated regression testing.
- Craft test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports for functional and non-functional testing.
- Manage test data and support all stages of the software development and quality assurance lifecycles.
- Implement and optimize AWS serverless solutions and existing platforms.
- Use infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices to automate testing and deployment processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of AWS and Python development engineering experience in the financial services and data domains.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or an IT-related field, or equivalent IT-related experience.
- Deep experience with AWS services including Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, API Gateway, and Athena.
- Experience developing Python solutions with Python data management and manipulation libraries.
- Experience with large-scale data pipelines, SQL, data analysis, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- QA and test automation experience, including functional and non-functional testing and continuous integration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies.
- Financial services experience involving equity and fixed income asset classes and understanding of indices is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, quality focus, attention to detail, and collaborative work habits.
