Responsibilities
- Design and operate the multi-tenant AWS environment, including account structures, guardrails, network and security baselines.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules and landing zones using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Collaborate on observability for a distributed serverless system.
- Develop FinOps practices for cost visibility, per-tenant attribution, and invocation-cost optimization.
- Build guardrails, access patterns, and cost controls for product teams using Amazon Bedrock.
- Support platform identity through Amazon Cognito and federation with client-managed identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID.
- Participate in a cross-time-zone on-call rotation and help shape the platform coverage model.
- Mentor colleagues and promote a platform-as-a-product culture that balances team autonomy with governance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
- Substantial hands-on AWS experience, including multi-account and landing-zone design.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- A well-developed perspective on observability for distributed systems.
- Strong automation and scripting ability; experience with Rust, TypeScript, or Python is applicable.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence and enable product teams.
- Preferred experience with AWS serverless and event-driven architecture, including idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, and failure handling.
- Preferred experience building AI agents for platform-health monitoring, FinOps or cloud-cost optimization, identity federation, multi-tenant identity models, or B2B SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with financial-services security, compliance, and auditability requirements.
- Strong CI/CD and automation experience, ideally with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock or comparable managed AI services.
- AWS certification is a bonus, particularly DevOps Engineer - Professional, Solutions Architect - Professional, or Security - Specialty.
