Responsibilities

  • Research, prototype, and assess the feasibility of new approaches for intelligent autonomous systems.
  • Implement computer vision, deep learning, and other autonomy features for Skydio drones.
  • Characterize and quantify the performance of core software and hardware components.
  • Develop clean, well-architected software that advances Skydio’s autonomy capabilities.
  • Own a project in collaboration with members of the core software development team.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in C++ and/or Python and PyTorch.
  • Enthusiasm for one or more of computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, dynamics and controls, 3D graphics, distributed systems, or tools and infrastructure.
  • Strong foundations in mathematics, theory, and software development.
  • Commitment to clean, well-architected code.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, small-team environment.
