Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, and assess the feasibility of new approaches for intelligent autonomous systems.
- Implement computer vision, deep learning, and other autonomy features for Skydio drones.
- Characterize and quantify the performance of core software and hardware components.
- Develop clean, well-architected software that advances Skydio’s autonomy capabilities.
- Own a project in collaboration with members of the core software development team.
Requirements
- High proficiency in C++ and/or Python and PyTorch.
- Enthusiasm for one or more of computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, dynamics and controls, 3D graphics, distributed systems, or tools and infrastructure.
- Strong foundations in mathematics, theory, and software development.
- Commitment to clean, well-architected code.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, small-team environment.
