Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications, source code, frameworks, and APIs for HLT and AI tools.
- Design, prototype, evaluate, and integrate human language technology capabilities for complex data and mission workflows.
- Deploy and train machine learning models and apply machine learning techniques to language-processing challenges.
- Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and lead multiple HLT solution initiatives.
- Analyze linguistic and workflow needs and recommend innovative, cost- and labor-efficient technical solutions.
- Support translation, interpretation, and transcription capabilities across program and customer environments.
- Communicate complex technical concepts through briefings and white papers and mentor new program employees.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience; a doctorate in a technical domain may also qualify.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated knowledge of community translation fundamentals and standard operating procedures.
- Recent experience deploying and training machine learning models and working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience with deep learning tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proficiency with React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Bash command-line tools.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, SQL database migrations, schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of machine learning methodologies and frameworks such as NLTK or spaCy.
- Understanding of linguistics, grammar, syntax, and human-language nuances, with experience developing HLT components or systems.
- Preferred qualifications include foreign-language proficiency, greenfield software development, FastAPI, machine translation or OCR language models, AI model fine-tuning, AI training datasets, containerization, AWS, RAG pipelines, LangChain, and LangGraph.
