Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, operate, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Build scalable software services and RESTful APIs for critical Apple Services Engineering platforms.
  • Apply cloud security best practices across organizational, management, and member accounts.
  • Lead projects with minimal direction and influence the direction of critical services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor and inspire other team members.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in large enterprise environments and demonstrated ability to architect and deliver solutions at scale.
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • At least 1 year of experience with CI/CD tools and techniques, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • At least 1 year of experience programming in Golang, with the ability to work in other languages as needed.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, including security, high availability, and resiliency.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, management/root accounts, member accounts, and equivalent constructs in GCP or Alibaba Cloud.
  • Proficiency designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience operating and developing infrastructure and services in cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and Linux/Unix system internals.
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies such as IAM and SSO.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven ability to lead projects with minimal direction, communicate effectively, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor others.
