Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support secure, resilient cloud and hybrid platforms.
  • Automate infrastructure and application delivery using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and deployment tooling.
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, security, monitoring, observability, vulnerability remediation, lifecycle management, and operational practices.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to improve platform capabilities and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud and hybrid environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Scripting and automation capability using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, APIs, databases, storage, DNS, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, Git, version control, security principles, identity and access management, secrets management, compliance requirements, and platform security controls.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder relationship, and prioritization skills.
  • Advantageous experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, cost optimization, capacity planning, and resilience practices is advantageous.
  • Relevant cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, infrastructure, or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
  • A degree, diploma, equivalent practical experience, or relevant professional certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps, infrastructure, Kubernetes, or cybersecurity is advantageous.
  • Australian citizenship and an NV-1 security clearance are required.
