Responsibilities
- Own TikTok product capabilities end-to-end, from customer-facing experiences through backend services and APIs.
- Build user experiences for creating, managing, automating, and optimizing advertising campaigns.
- Design and operate distributed, data-intensive systems and asynchronous event-driven services at scale.
- Build and evolve APIs and integrations connecting Smartly with TikTok and its broader platform.
- Drive technical and architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical direction.
- Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to shape customer-focused solutions.
- Mentor engineers and help improve engineering quality and practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience building and operating production-grade full-stack applications, ideally with TypeScript, Node.js, and React or similar technologies.
- Experience delivering product capabilities end-to-end across customer-facing experiences, backend services, and APIs.
- Experience designing distributed systems and asynchronous, event-driven architectures at scale.
- Ability to build reliable systems and integrations handling high volumes of data.
- Ability to own complex problems and drive them from concept through production.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and design teams.
- Pragmatic approach to balancing user experience, technical quality, customer needs, and delivery speed.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and contributing to strong engineering practices.
- Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid setup from the Helsinki office three days per week.
