Responsibilities
- Lead teams through complex SRE and cloud-native engineering projects.
- Mentor engineers and help establish the right skills and core competencies across digital product areas.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, oversee error budgets, and drive continuous reliability improvement.
- Guide observability strategy using platforms such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, and CNCF projects.
- Provide strategic oversight for performance and load-testing tools such as Blazemeter.
- Work with developers and cross-functional teams to select appropriate technical designs aligned with business needs.
- Balance hands-on engineering, strategic planning, collaboration, and technical decision-making.
- Promote and mandate everything-as-code practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, cloud-native patterns, scalability, performance, and security practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working with production-scale, scalable distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles and real-world implementation experience.
- Expertise in cloud-native patterns and methodologies, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
- Experience navigating production technology stacks from an SRE perspective, including observability, enterprise SaaS/PaaS, and performance testing.
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related degree.
- Extensive cloud computing experience, preferably with Azure.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with SAP systems is desirable.
- Strong understanding of Datadog RUM is desirable.
- Ability to lead complex projects, mentor engineers, make difficult decisions, and collaborate effectively.
