Base Salary
$195k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant, and reliable backend and platform systems.
- Propose, design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions for system agility, flexibility, and scalability.
- Drive technical design discussions and advise team members on coding standards, best practices, and architecture principles.
- Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams developing new features and products.
- Mentor and guide mid-level engineers while supporting continuous learning and improvement.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to improve engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in backend development and platform architecture.
- Proven experience building scalable, performant, and reliable systems.
- Experience designing and implementing complex distributed systems, including microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms, including infrastructure as code and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience building distributed systems with microservices and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience leading technical design discussions and guiding engineering practices and architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers.
