Responsibilities
- Develop and operate modern web applications with a focus on Java-based backend systems such as Spring Boot.
- Design and implement scalable APIs and web services while ensuring quality and performance.
- Implement features end to end across frontend and backend systems.
- Integrate databases, external systems, and AI services into applications.
- Evaluate and use AI-assisted tools for code generation, analysis, and automation.
- Analyze requirements with Product Owners and stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and stability.
- Document solutions and follow development standards and best practices, including code reviews and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, or substantial practical software development experience as a career changer.
- Very strong knowledge of Java backend development, such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with APIs, web services, databases, and ORM technologies such as JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with fullstack development and frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
- Initial experience with AI services or an interest in using them.
- Commitment to code quality and automated testing.
- Understanding of software architecture and the ability to implement requirements technically.
- Analytical, structured, and collaborative working style.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
