Responsibilities

  • Design and develop crash dump collection, processing, and analysis tools for GPU and AI accelerator platforms.
  • Build hardware debugging, device inspection, failure analysis, post-mortem debugging, and root-cause analysis tools.
  • Develop diagnostics spanning host software, device drivers, firmware, and accelerator hardware.
  • Build scalable mechanisms for collecting and analyzing logs, traces, telemetry, and diagnostic data.
  • Design extensible APIs and tooling for multiple hardware generations and accelerator architectures.
  • Automate failure detection, debugging, and diagnostic workflows to reduce engineering effort.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, driver, platform, and cloud infrastructure teams on cross-layer issues.
  • Improve tooling quality, reliability, testability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews, contribute to engineering practices, and mentor other engineers.
  • Apply and share AI-assisted engineering practices for design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, learning, and workflow automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Software development experience in C, C++, C#, Rust, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience developing systems software, debugging tools, diagnostic software, or developer tools.
  • Understanding of operating systems, computer architecture, memory management, concurrency, and low-level software concepts.
  • Ability to diagnose complex software or hardware-software interaction issues and develop reliable, maintainable, and testable production software.
  • Experience with crash dump, debugger, tracing, profiling, diagnostic, telemetry, observability, or post-mortem analysis tools is preferred.
  • Experience with GPU, AI accelerator, heterogeneous compute, Linux systems programming, kernel interfaces, device drivers, firmware, embedded systems, or SoC architectures is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCIe, device interfaces, memory-mapped I/O, hardware/firmware interaction, JTAG, or OpenOCD is preferred.
  • Experience building developer tools across different hardware generations or platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted techniques for code analysis, debugging, test generation, failure investigation, engineering automation, and technical learning.
