Base Salary
$165k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain production robotics software in C++ and Python.
- Integrate and refine perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform capabilities on physical robots.
- Improve system quality through testing, validation, fault handling, performance tuning, and edge-case analysis.
- Investigate and resolve failures involving software, hardware, sensors, networking, timing, and hardware interfaces.
- Build internal tools, scripts, and workflows for developer velocity, testing efficiency, observability, and release quality.
- Work directly with hardware to validate features and iterate through real-world testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, or complex embedded systems, including deployment of physical hardware products.
- Strong command of C++ and Python, including production-level C++ for core robot systems and Python tooling.
- Experience in one or more robotics domains such as perception, motion planning, controls, localization, state estimation, system integration, or robot behavior.
- Strong Linux development, command-line, debugging, scripting, and system-troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems spanning software, hardware, sensors, and distributed-system interactions.
- Preferred experience with outdoor or unstructured-environment robotics, Docker, Kubernetes, robotics developer tooling, visualization and diagnostics tools, and production fleet-scale deployment.
- Ability to collaborate in the office five days per week.
