Base Salary
$272k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship new database properties and views that expand what users can model in Notion.
- Design permission models that support the scale of Notion’s largest customers.
- Partner with the Agent team on database tool development and evaluation-driven iteration.
- Collaborate with product and design to scope and deliver ambiguous features using strong technical judgment.
- Raise standards for code review, testing, and technical design across the team.
- Work across the stack in TypeScript on features affecting both the data model and user interface.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience shipping production software and a strong record of owning features end to end.
- Fluency with TypeScript across backend and frontend development.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into appropriately scoped technical approaches.
- Experience with systems where data-model decisions have long-lived consequences, such as databases, permissions, or collaborative editing.
- Willingness to adopt AI tools and learn relevant technologies.
- Experience building database, spreadsheet, or workflow tools is preferred.
- Experience with permissions or authorization systems at scale is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI or agent tooling, evaluations, or LLM-driven product experiences is preferred.
