Responsibilities
- Rearchitect OCI Networking’s routing foundation and develop core data-plane infrastructure for routing, workload placement, and fleet management at cloud scale.
- Set group-wide standards for platform interoperability, security controls, client library governance, identity, configuration, API gateways, observability, and deprecation management.
- Design, implement, test, optimize, operate, and maintain highly available distributed services and foundational software.
- Lead architecture, code, process, security, quality, and software lifecycle reviews while coaching engineers across teams.
- Drive performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, release automation, deployment, patching, and vulnerability remediation initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional programs, resolve complex customer and product issues, and serve as an escalation point and technical advisor.
- Influence strategic decisions, mentor engineers, participate in hiring and talent development, and contribute thought leadership to the field.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking software, or systems software.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design.
- Strong familiarity with network routing protocols; implementation experience is highly desirable.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, release automation, deployment workflows, and production-grade distributed services at scale.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in architecture, mentoring, and cross-team technical initiatives.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
