Base Salary
$230k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and lead large-scale initiatives involving backend frameworks, tooling, and shared libraries.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions for backend services.
- Guide the evolution of static analysis, formatting systems, service scaffolding, and other shared developer tooling.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and product engineering teams on platform improvements.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on code quality, system design, and development practices.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building and scaling backend systems using Go and Python.
- Deep knowledge of backend frameworks such as Django and gRPC or comparable systems in Go.
- Experience designing internal platforms, developer tooling such as Bazel, or shared infrastructure used by multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence engineering direction across teams.
- Commitment to improving developer workflows, system quality, and maintainability through thoughtful design.
