Responsibilities
- Coach and develop testers, review their work, delegate tasks, and set objectives when required.
- Test UI, APIs, back-office workflows, third-party systems, integrations, and end-to-end processes.
- Interpret business, functional, and technical requirements and apply product and financial-services knowledge to testing.
- Create, implement, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts using a BDD approach.
- Execute test scripts, record results, raise reproducible defects, and perform exploratory testing.
- Support user acceptance testing, production releases, research projects, and proof-of-concept work.
- Collaborate with technical leads, developers, and testers from project inception through delivery.
- Develop test tools and extend test environments while taking an automation-first approach where possible.
Requirements
- Senior testing experience, including delegating work and serving as a first point of contact for other testers.
- Full understanding of the software testing lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Experience creating and designing automated test scripts using BDD methodology.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing automation frameworks and conducting exploratory testing in an Agile development environment.
- Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools.
- Knowledge of Cypress, Gherkin, Page Object Model, PactumJS, and TypeScript.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and their application.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Technical understanding of the processes under test and related processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Knowledge of Agile working practices and the ability to apply them.
