Lead Machine Learning Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain distributed training pipelines on GPU-enabled clusters.
- Develop and manage model promotion pipelines and related machine learning development lifecycle capabilities.
- Optimize training throughput for large data sources.
- Integrate platforms and tools for model monitoring and observability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand ML Platform capabilities and integrate new technologies.
- Partner with product, architecture, modeling, and engineering teams to design solutions for Chase digital channels.
- Design and develop ML frameworks and reusable components for model implementations.
- Monitor production models, improve data quality and feedback loops, and iterate to reduce agent effort and improve workflow quality.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related engineering field with 6+ years of experience, or an MS in Computer Science or a related engineering field with 4+ years of experience.
- Extensive experience with Python, cloud computing, and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Strong knowledge of data science fundamentals and experience training and deploying models.
- Experience with model input/output and feature-statistics monitoring and observability tools.
- Operational experience with big data and ML tools such as Ray and Spark, and training or inference systems such as Ray, vLLM, and SGLang.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and enterprise system design experience.
- Preferred experience with recommendation and personalization systems.
- Preferred CUDA experience.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Airflow, or Kubeflow is preferred.
- Knowledge of online and offline data storage solutions and strategies is preferred.
