Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision, reference architecture, ADRs, and incremental roadmap for AI-native development.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, agents, and developer tools through experiments and proofs of concept, then establish supported engineering patterns.
- Define and promote agentic engineering practices, including spec-driven development, context engineering, agent-generated code review, shared skills, tools, and MCP servers.
- Architect agentic workflows covering triage, implementation, review, testing, and remediation with risk-based autonomy and human-in-the-loop guardrails.
- Build engineering and product knowledge layers including code intelligence, service catalogs, architecture records, domain models, and business rules.
- Define standards for agent-ready domains with clear boundaries, documented APIs, callable tools, fast tests, and ephemeral environments.
- Redesign CI/CD for agent-authored changes using intelligent test selection, merge queues, automated quality and security gates, and progressive delivery.
- Modernize development environments, onboarding, documentation, and the internal developer portal for engineers and agents.
- Partner with Security, Privacy, and Quality Engineering on permissions, sandboxing, audit trails, AI cost, and quality controls.
- Write production code and reference implementations, influence architects and staff engineers, and mentor engineers developing agentic skills.

- Experience building production LLM systems involving tool calling, agent orchestration, context engineering, RAG, and evaluations.
- Deep experience designing CI/CD, build systems, and developer platforms at scale.
- Strong SaaS architecture fundamentals and fluency with PHP, React, and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, including OWASP guidance for LLM applications, and supply chain security.
- Experience influencing architects and senior engineers without direct authority, with sound judgment and exceptional communication.
- Preferred experience building agent tooling, MCP servers, or open-source developer tools.
- Preferred experience leading AI adoption or productivity change across a large engineering organization.
- Preferred experience building systems that handle sensitive data in regulated SaaS environments such as HR, payroll, or SOC 2 contexts.
