Responsibilities
- Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout complete missions.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software in C++ for embedded processors.
- Own software design, testing, and integration across the development lifecycle.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
- Collaborate with teammates to communicate and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing in C++ and strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred experience building and launching spacecraft end to end.
- Preferred experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems and safety-critical aerospace software.
- Preferred experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems and the F' or cFS framework.
- Preferred experience with Python or Rust.
- Preferred knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics.
- Preferred familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, and EtherCAT.
- Must be a U.S. person permitted to access the company's export-controlled technology without an export license.
