Base Salary
$153k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide end-to-end design, build, deployment, evaluation, and adoption of data and AI applications for federal government customers.
- Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer requirements and Databricks best practices.
- Implement and deploy performant data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Embed with customer teams, understand technical and business challenges, train stakeholders, and support successful platform adoption.
- Collaborate with Databricks engineers, project managers, architects, customer teams, and customer support to deliver technical components and resolve issues.
- Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that influence the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Fluency writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep distributed-computing experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs for production deployments.
- Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures and applications.
- Experience with technical project delivery, documentation, whiteboarding, enterprise clients, and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Preferred: expertise in MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Preferred: Databricks Certification.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government Secret clearance are required; active Secret or higher clearance is strongly encouraged.
