Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert across infrastructure and DevOps domains.
- Develop and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
- Architect, provision, monitor, and capacity-plan on-premise virtual environments.
- Design and implement secure, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Implement observability frameworks covering metrics, tracing, and logging.
- Define and monitor SRE metrics, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Lead production and field-system incident response and root cause analysis.
- Partner with field engineers and support teams to maintain reliable infrastructure at customer mine sites.
- Improve field-deployed infrastructure through automation, repeatability, and security practices.
- Mentor engineers and support career development and technical growth.
- Make technology decisions using technical leadership and business judgment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, including a track record of leading major initiatives.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Experience managing on-premise and hybrid-cloud infrastructure, including VMware and KVM hypervisors.
- Deep understanding of networking, system security, and Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with SRE disciplines such as SLIs, SLOs, incident management, and error budgets.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog.
- Strong experience supporting field-deployed infrastructure and mission-critical, high-uptime systems.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to occasionally travel internationally.
