Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build clean APIs for video playback on supported devices.
- Develop reusable software components in TypeScript.
- Design and implement end-to-end video playback components.
- Work with HTML5 video Media Source Extensions and Encrypted Media Extensions.
- Analyze, optimize, and improve the codebase.
- Improve the reliability and features of IP video playback across browsers, Smart TVs, set-top boxes, casting-enabled devices, and other integrations.
- Demonstrate personal and team leadership with a focus on integrator and customer success.
- Support operations personnel in maintaining a high standard of reliability.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, automation engineers, quality assurance engineers, architects, data scientists, and video-streaming technologists.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of software development experience, including some JavaScript application development or related programming-language experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent coursework, experience, or extensive related professional experience.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Ability to solve difficult problems quickly by writing code.
- Strongly encouraged knowledge of JavaScript in web browsers.
- Experience designing clean, concise, maintainable APIs.
- Experience with HTTP video is a plus.
- Familiarity with a scripting language.
- Ability to design, develop, and integrate solutions through completion.
- Ability to communicate complex issues and technologies clearly.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Customer- and team-focused attitude.
- Demonstrated personal and team leadership.

- Colorado base pay is listed at $160,123.03–$240,184.54, with additional benefits and potential bonus eligibility described by Comcast.
