Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly available, cloud-native services.
- Contribute across the stack, including APIs and front-end work as needed.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define user stories.
- Mentor and support other engineers through collaboration.
- Own services end-to-end from development to production operations.
- Utilize modern development tooling to improve productivity.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development with Java.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Experience developing applications for cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservice architecture.
- Solid knowledge of testing methodologies.
- Comfortable working across application layers and learning new technologies.
- Working knowledge of frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and best practices.
