Responsibilities
- Own the infrastructure team’s intake by triaging requests and interruptions, resolving quick issues, and converting larger items into planned work.
- Operate the acquired product’s infrastructure day to day during its migration to Fonoa’s platform.
- Migrate infrastructure and automate repeatable migration steps.
- Create self-service tooling, automation, or documentation for recurring requests.
- Participate in on-call rotations for team-owned services.
- Operate and improve Kubernetes runtimes across cloud providers.
- Maintain and extend observability coverage using Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
Requirements
- Be fully proficient in written and spoken English.
- Communicate clearly and asynchronously while managing frequent context switching and changing priorities.
- Have an automation mindset focused on streamlining daily operations.
- Manage infrastructure as code using version control.
- Have programming skills in at least one language or the ability to learn additional languages.
- Be comfortable working in unfamiliar systems and favor simple, maintainable solutions.
- Use data to guide decisions and collaborate effectively with others.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, and related infrastructure operations is relevant to the role.
