Base Salary
$200k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Invent tools and processes that enable fast and correct software development
- Design, maintain, and scale continuous integration systems for Starship software
- Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the Starship software stack
- Collaborate with counterpart teams to maintain and continuously improve dedicated on-premises compute
- Identify improvement areas and create innovative solutions for Starship software development challenges
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline, or 9 years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- Skill with Bazel or similar build systems
- Fluency in Python, C++, Rust, or Go
- Experience building tools and infrastructure used by hundreds of engineers daily
- Interest in applying AI-assisted development tools to code quality, testing, and development workflows
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, accountability, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
