Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and deploy software for real-time, high-availability systems.
- Lead software development activities independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable, reusable, and maintainable software designs.
- Lead and mentor junior developers and influence technical direction and development processes.
- Develop, tune, document, and deploy automation scripts across development, test, and production environments.
- Support system integration activities involving hardware and low-level communications interfaces.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, release planning, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Promote code reuse, cross-program collaboration, and sustainable development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong object-oriented programming experience and proficiency in C and/or C++.
- Experience developing real-time, multithreaded, high-availability systems.
- Experience with Linux environments, including Red Hat, virtual machines, and hypervisors.
- Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, and SCTP communications protocols.
- Experience with hardware or complex system integration, system maintenance, lifecycle concepts, source control, and configuration management tools.
- Strong understanding of modern software development principles and best practices.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively and work independently and collaboratively, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Ada experience, test automation framework experience, and familiarity with Codex, Claude, agentic development, AI-assisted workflows, AI-enabled testing and code review, DevSecOps, and validation of AI-generated code.
