Base Salary
$148k - $249k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement low-level, safety-critical embedded software for autonomous truck engine control, steering, and braking.
- Integrate sensors and vehicle actuation feedback with localization and control systems to implement redundant safety features.
- Collaborate with hardware, safety, and systems teams to design, build, and validate reliable next-generation systems.
- Develop robust embedded software according to industry best practices.
- Support the bring-up and operation of the autonomous platform remotely and on-site.
- Mentor junior developers and engineers and collaborate with software and autonomy engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing embedded software on low-level ARM microcontrollers and processors.
- Experience working with an RTOS is relevant to the role.
- Deep experience with C, C++, or Rust; the team primarily uses Rust.
- Experience building reusable embedded code and systems to test and maintain that code.
- Experience developing safety-critical, high-reliability software according to relevant industry safety standards.
- Ability to work hands-on with Compute, Hardware, and Sensor teams.
