Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Develop and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating their outputs.
  • Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify problems and improve software applications, coding practices, and system architecture.
  • Guide peers on responsible AI use, including secure handling of sensitive data and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Practical experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, software development life cycle practices, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
  • Preferred: in-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
