Responsibilities

  • Lead software design and implementation for high-performance, Linux-based real-time embedded systems.
  • Analyze requirements, write code, and perform software testing.
  • Coordinate software interface alignments and drive standardization with developers, integrators, method experts, and customers.
  • Manage configuration processes using Clearcase and Clearquest for version control and traceability.
  • Apply networking technologies and protocols including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
  • Develop and optimize Linux kernel solutions, device drivers, and Board Support Packages for embedded systems.
  • Optimize kernels to improve performance and reduce resource utilization in real-time applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners, including Qualcomm, on telecommunications technologies.
  • Use scripting to automate processes within the embedded Linux environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in the embedded domain using C/C++ and ARM environments.
  • Experience designing and developing Linux kernel solutions for real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience enhancing Linux device drivers and developing Board Support Packages for RISC processors.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, wireless protocols, and RFNTP client/protocol.
  • Scripting skills for automation in embedded Linux environments are preferred.
  • Experience working with industry partners such as Qualcomm is preferred.
