Responsibilities

  • Design ML deployment and monitoring pipelines and engineering infrastructure for enterprise machine learning systems at scale.
  • Convert data scientists’ offline models into production machine learning systems.
  • Develop and deploy scalable tools and services for machine learning training and inference.
  • Evaluate technologies to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability of machine learning systems.
  • Apply software engineering practices to machine learning, including automation and CI/CD.
  • Support model development with emphasis on auditability, versioning, and data security.
  • Facilitate proof-of-concept machine learning system development and deployment.
  • Analyze escalations, prioritize issues, identify owners, and track and facilitate blockers.
  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements and track progress.

Requirements

  • Overall 5–8 years of experience in cloud application development or administration.
  • At least 4 years of experience with AWS and Terraform, Jenkins, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer or ML DevOps Engineer using AWS SageMaker and similar tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and hands-on automation using Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, logging, monitoring and observability, infrastructure configuration, scripting languages, and applications.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud workloads, preferably on AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of Chef, Python, Go, cloud networking, essential security principles, and processes.
  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, and generative AI is preferred.
  • AWS Development or Architect Associate certification, or another cloud-related certification such as Terraform or Chef certification, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with remote and multicultural teams.
