Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Financial Technology PartnersResponsibilities
- Build new features and improve, refactor, clean up, or remove existing functionality.
- Understand the business requirements and context of the system’s functional areas.
- Recommend project direction, including growth, simplification, and alignment across system areas.
- Review applications prototyped outside the engineering department and help steer, rebuild, or secure them.
- Develop stable, maintainable, compatible software with appropriate test coverage and documentation.
- Support FT Base, the firm’s data ecosystem, project lifecycle, AI agent, CRM, and enterprise AI tooling platform.
Requirements
- Two years of software engineering experience in a web application environment, or two years as a Software Engineer plus reputable boot camp certification, or a four-year Computer Science degree with project or work experience.
- Knowledge of Python, TypeScript, APIs, Git, and web application system design concepts.
- Strong AI prompt-driven development abilities backed by technical understanding.
- Ability to explain and verify AI-produced code line by line.
- Experience taking software beyond the prototype stage into cohesive, organized, scalable systems.
- AWS or cloud infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Django and Django REST Framework experience is preferred.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
