Base Salary
$238k - $302k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development of end-to-end evaluation systems and benchmarks for Waymo foundation models across pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning.
- Evaluate the quality, safety, and realism of embodied AI agents.
- Implement and extend large-scale data and evaluation pipelines.
- Collaborate within and across organizations to bring innovative technology into production.
- Help build foundation models used onboard autonomous vehicles and offboard in simulation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in ML engineering and applied deep learning.
- Strong portfolio of shipped products or a publication record.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficient programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Preferred experience training, evaluating, and deploying ML models at scale.
- Preferred deep learning experience with generative models such as LLMs/VLMs and/or reinforcement learning.
- Preferred in-depth knowledge of an ML framework such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
