Base Salary
$180k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the expansion of insurance features and cost transparency, including roadmapping, prototyping, and leading 0-to-1 projects.
- Act as a technical and product stakeholder by shaping what the organization builds and partnering with business and product leaders.
- Analyze complex product challenges and drive sound system and design decisions.
- Build and ship production code using C#, React, and AWS across the technology stack.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and promote coding, testing, deployment, observability, and maintainability best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, data scientists, vendors, and data providers.
- Improve engineering processes, technical capabilities, developer productivity, and team throughput.
- Evaluate and use GenAI tools and technology to increase team effectiveness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and scaling high-performance distributed backend systems.
- Experience shipping complex, user-facing products across multiple areas of the technology stack.
- A strong product-owner mindset and demonstrated delivery of features with significant business impact.
- Well-rounded system design skills, including designing for high availability, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.
- Experience improving developer productivity and establishing best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and observability.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and encouraging engineering best practices.
- Strong communication skills for technical discussions and presentations to cross-functional audiences.
- Experience evaluating and working with third-party vendors and data providers.
